What Being a Best Rated Boxing App Actually Takes

We just gave our reviews page a full revamp, and we’re really proud of it!

It now mixes written App Store and Google Play reviews with photo and video reviews from boxers who train with the app, plus the press coverage and store features in one place. If you’re wondering whether the Shadow Boxing App is worth your time, that page is the most direct answer we can give you.

Finding a boxing app got harder, not easier

With AI, building an app has never been faster, and the stores show it. Search “boxing” today and you’ll scroll past dozens of new apps, many of them launched in the last year, most of them looking polished in screenshots. Figuring out which ones are actually good to train with takes real digging.

That’s why reviews matter so much more than they used to. A rating built from thousands of boxers using an app week after week can’t be generated overnight. So when we see our users sticking with us through all that noise, and taking the time to share the app with the world, it means a lot. We currently sit at 4.9 / 5 across more than 8000 ratings, and every one of those came from someone who trained with the app and decided to say so.

The reviews you don’t see

Not all the feedback ends up on a store page. We receive a lot of private messages: emails after someone finishes their first program, notes from people who got back in shape at home, messages from coaches using the app with their fighters. None of that shows up in a public rating, and we appreciate it just as much.

If you’ve ever sent us one of those, thank you. We read them all.

Negative feedback gets read too

A high rating doesn’t come from only listening to praise. When a review points out something confusing, a missing feature or a workout that doesn’t land, we take it into account and adjust. Plenty of what’s in the app today started as criticism: clearer technique names, better combo customization, more control over rest periods. Some of our best updates trace back to a two-star review that had a point.

That loop is the whole reason the rating holds up. We don’t treat 4.9 / 5 as a trophy; we treat it as something that resets every time someone new downloads the app.

See for yourself

Browse the revamped reviews page if you want to hear it from other boxers, or skip straight to trying the app. The first workouts are free, so you can make your own opinion before committing to anything.
